Betting On Sports: WR Nicks to Miss Three Weeks

According to reports, Hakeem Nicks, the wide receiver for the New York Giants, is most likely to miss three weeks, as he is undergoing treatment for Compartment Syndrome in his lower right leg. This news has upset several people who like to go for betting on sports.

Nicks experienced swelling in the leg after taking a hit during the game at Philadelphia on Sunday. He will be undergoing a fasciotomy to address the issue.

Compartment Syndrome causes swelling in the lower leg due to compression of nerves and blood vessels. It requires immediate treatment; else it can cause muscle and nerve damage. The mobile sportsbook fans are praying for the player’s quick recovery.

Nicks is one of the leading receivers of the Giants' with 62 receptions, 800 yards and nine touchdowns. The injury of the player has further weakened the receiving core as Steve Smith is already missing due to a partially torn pectoral muscle.

Bettors believe that if both these players are absent from the matches for a very long time, then the live sports odds of the team can get affected adversely.
