The news of free agent winger Paul Kariya, not participating in the 2010-11 NHL season, has agitated Sports Betting enthusiasts.
Don Baizley, Kariya's agent, announced this news to multiple media outlets and stated that the player will sit out during this NHL season because of post-concussion syndrome.
Kariya, aged 35, has played 989 career games and has recorded 402 goals, along with 587 assists. He was playing with the St. Louis Blues for the last three seasons.
During 2009-10, he played 75 games, where he posted a total of 18 goals and 25 assists. He was selected as the fourth overall in the 1993 draft by Anaheim, after which he played with the Ducks, Avalanche and Predators. His persistent performance in all the games made him widely popular among NHL Betting fans.
